Rumors Musical / play Live at Loft Theatre at CU Boulder | Denver

The Loft Theatre at CU Boulder is one of those hidden gems that really packs a punch when it comes to local theater vibes. Back in 2019, it became a hub for community collaboration, bringing together CU theater students and regional residents for some truly memorable performances. I mean, who could forget the buzz around that 2016 production of Hamilton? It was a student-directed show that drew rave reviews and really put the Loft on the map. Over the years, the space has hosted some pretty cool events like the Colorado High School Theatre Festival in 2007, showcasing talented young performers from all over Colorado. The theatre itself is tucked away on the upper level of the campus management center, accessible by stairs or elevator near the student organization offices, easy to miss unless you’re looking for it. Rumors from Boulder’s theater scene often mention how cozy and intimate the space feels, perfect for catching those raw, energetic performances that make live theater so special. If you're into local arts, Rumors Boulder is definitely a spot to keep in mind, whether you're catching a show or just soaking in the creative energy that spills out from this unassuming venue.
